Contractor Terms

1. Agreement

These Contractor Terms ("Terms") apply to all tradespeople and contractors ("you", "partner") who register on the UKTradesHub platform. By completing registration, you agree to these Terms in full. These Terms apply in addition to our general Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility

To register as a trade partner you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Hold valid Public Liability Insurance of at least £1,000,000
• Hold all trade-specific certifications and registrations required by UK law for your trade (e.g. Gas Safe registration for gas work, NICEIC/Part P for electrical installations, FENSA registration for window fitting)
• Be legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom
• Not be subject to any disqualification, ban or court order that would prevent you from operating as a tradesperson

3. Your Obligations

As a registered trade partner you agree to:

• Keep all information on your profile accurate and up to date, including insurance expiry dates and qualifications
• Only accept jobs you are genuinely available and qualified to carry out
• Respond to accepted jobs promptly and professionally
• Treat all homeowners with respect and courtesy
• Not use homeowner contact details for any purpose other than the specific job accepted through the platform
• Not solicit homeowners to leave the platform or bypass the platform's systems
• Not submit false reviews or manipulate the ratings system
• Notify us immediately if your insurance lapses or a required certification expires or is revoked

4. Job Dispatch and Acceptance

Jobs are dispatched according to your subscription tier. Premium partners receive jobs first (5-minute acceptance window), followed by Pro partners (15-minute window), followed by Free partners (pool dispatch). Once you accept a job, the homeowner's contact details are shared with you. You are then responsible for making contact and agreeing terms directly with the homeowner.

We do not set prices. All pricing is agreed directly between you and the homeowner.

5. Platform Fees

We charge a flat monthly subscription fee for access to the platform. We do not take commission on jobs. You keep 100% of what you earn. Subscription fees are as published on the pricing page and may be updated with reasonable notice.

6. Verification

We may request copies of your insurance certificates, qualifications or identification documents at any time. Failure to provide these within a reasonable timeframe may result in suspension of your account. Verified partners (those who have completed our full verification process) receive a Verified badge on their profile.

7. Reviews and Ratings

Homeowners may leave reviews of your work through the platform. You may not offer incentives for positive reviews or threaten negative consequences for honest feedback. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our policies.

8. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

• Breach these Terms or our general Terms of Service
• Receive repeated negative reviews indicating a pattern of poor service
• Allow your required insurance or certifications to lapse without renewal
• Engage in fraudulent, abusive or illegal conduct
• Are found to have provided false information during registration

We will give you the opportunity to respond before any permanent termination except in cases of serious misconduct.

9. Independent Contractor Status

You are an independent contractor and not an employee, worker, agent or partner of UKTradesHub. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship. You are responsible for your own tax, National Insurance, insurance and business compliance.

10. Liability

UKTradesHub is not liable for any disputes between you and homeowners, any property damage, personal injury, financial loss or other claim arising from work you carry out. You are solely responsible for your work and must maintain appropriate insurance coverage.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
